About Pea fiber
Protide supplies inner pea fiber from China for food texture and water-management trials. This dietary-fiber ingredient contains at least 60% dietary fiber and no more than 15% protein. Its specification is separate from pea protein isolate and peptide.
- Fiber-focused specification: Review dietary fiber, residual protein, moisture, fat and microbiological limits for the intended recipe.
- Incorporation and hydration: Evaluate water addition, mixing sequence and texture in meat, plant-based and bakery systems. Agree any required water-binding measurement separately.

Pea fiber applications
Meat-product recipes
Trial inner pea fiber in meat recipes for water management and texture. Adjust water addition and mixing, then assess the cooked product through your normal process.
Plant-based foods
Evaluate pea fiber in plant-based burgers or fillings. Compare moisture distribution and incorporation, and assess the bite of the complete cooked recipe at the chosen use level.
Bakery formulations
Adjust water addition for the inner pea fiber and check dough handling during bakery trials. Compare crumb or finished texture after baking.
Savory fillings
Assess pea fiber in savory fillings with the full seasoning and ingredient system. Check mixing and moisture retention through the actual cooking and preparation sequence.
Dry food premixes
Blend inner pea fiber into dry food premixes. Check distribution and powder handling, then hydration under the mix’s normal preparation instructions.
Fiber-enriched blends
Develop fiber-enriched blends using the ≥60% dietary-fiber specification. Calculate the intended contribution and assess texture and flavor with the other recipe ingredients.

Pea fiber FAQ
Is inner pea fiber a pea protein ingredient?
Inner pea fiber is specified for dietary fiber rather than protein enrichment. It contains at least 60% dietary fiber and limits protein to no more than 15%. Do not use the protein concentration or processing claims from pea protein isolate when qualifying this fiber ingredient.
How can I evaluate pea fiber for water management?
Adjust water addition and mixing sequence in the complete recipe while measuring texture and process yield. The specification gives no numerical water-binding capacity. If you need that value for acceptance, agree the method and limit for the ordered grade before purchase.
What food applications should be included in a pea fiber trial?
Start with the function needed in meat products, plant-based foods, bakery recipes or dry food mixes. Check incorporation, moisture distribution, flavor and finished texture at the intended use level. Results depend on recipe and process; the ingredient should not be treated as a universal replacement for starch or protein.
What is needed to order pea fiber?
Specify inner pea fiber and provide your application, quantity and destination. The listed MOQ is 500 kg, packed in 15 kg net woven bags with PE inner bags. Request the TDS, SDS and batch COA. If water-binding capacity is an acceptance requirement, agree its method and limit before approving the material.
