Overview
Protide is a hydrolyzed keratin powder supplier in China. HydroTide® HKP-P90 is a water-soluble cosmetic ingredient derived from chicken or duck feathers for hair-care, beard-care, pet-grooming and nail-care formulations.
The grade specifies at least 90% dry residue and 14.5% nitrogen. Dry residue is not a protein assay. The 100% Hydrolyzed Keratin composition entry is an ingredient declaration, rather than a guarantee of chemical purity or 100% solids.
Use the powder when your process calls for a dry ingredient that can be dissolved into the water phase. The TDS gives separate starting levels for shampoo, conditioner and coloring or perming pre-treatments. Applications
Shampoos

What does the 90 in HKP-P90 describe?
The current TDS specifies a minimum dry residue of 90% and a minimum nitrogen content of 14.5%. These are separate analytical criteria. The 90% dry-residue limit must not be presented as a 90% protein assay. The composition statement lists Hydrolyzed Keratin as the declared ingredient; it does not replace the analytical limits.
