Overview
Protide is a pharmaceutical gelatin manufacturer in China. Our own Hebei factory produces PHARGEL™ capsule grades of 140–230 g Bloom for bulk softgel, hard-capsule and microencapsulation orders.
Soft-capsule models cover different Bloom and viscosity bands. Hard Capsule 180 is a higher-viscosity option for two-piece shells. The microencapsulation series has its own viscosity and mesh specification. If Bloom is an acceptance requirement, agree the value in the order specification.

Applications
Soft capsules
Choose the softgel model by Bloom and viscosity, then trial shell casting and the finished capsule with your fill, equipment and process conditions.
Hard capsules
Trial Hard Capsule 180 for dip-molded two-piece shells. Review its higher listed viscosity band against the shell-forming process and the grade-specific acceptance requirements.
Nutraceutical softgels
Trial nutraceutical softgels with gelatin matched to the fill and shell process. Compare casting and capsule performance before approving the grade.
Gummy supplements
Evaluate the gel-forming gelatin in supplement gummies. Use the model’s Bloom and viscosity specification to plan trials with the complete recipe and depositing conditions.
Microencapsulation
Use the dedicated microencapsulation series as a wall or carrier material. Review its viscosity and mesh limits and agree any required Bloom criterion in the order specification.
Tablet binding and coating
For tablet binder or coating development, trial gelatin in the intended formula and process. Confirm the grade-specific technical and document requirements before supply.

FAQ
How does Hard Capsule 180 differ from the softgel range?
Hard Capsule 180 has a higher listed viscosity band for dip-molded two-piece shells. Softgel models cover other Bloom and viscosity bands for shell casting. Trial the selected model with your fill and manufacturing line to confirm compatibility.
Is Bloom specified for the microencapsulation series?
The microencapsulation selection table does not assign a nominal Bloom value. Its viscosity and mesh requirements are specified separately. If your application needs a Bloom criterion, agree the value and method in the controlled order specification rather than borrowing a value from a softgel or hard-capsule grade.
Do EP and USP labels replace the grade specification?
Request EP or USP documentation that covers the actual grade and ordered material, together with the model TDS and batch COA. The compendial label does not replace the need to agree source, quality limits and process suitability. Review those requirements as part of your own excipient approval.
Which documents support PHARGEL™ supplier qualification?
Request the selected capsule or microencapsulation grade’s TDS, SDS and batch COA. Include applicable EP/USP, source, certification and traceability documents in the approval request. Check the production-site and grade scope against the material quoted for your process.
What determines the price of bulk pharmaceutical gelatin?
MOQ is 1 MT. Price depends on grade, quantity, packing, destination and Incoterm. Send your volume and destination for a quote within one business day.
